WHAT IS THE BUMBLE BEE CES?

The Bumble Bee CES device is a low cost, high quality electronic Biphasic Square Wave Oscillator for the application of brain wave frequencies across the human cranium. They are 3D printed electronic devices made and sold as an electronic device for wellness, leisure and entertainment purposes and are not a medical device.

Square wave frequency modulators are used for a variety of purposes. These purposes can include electrical stimulation on the human Cerebral Cortex for improved wellbeing.  This is commonly called CES or Cranial Electro-Stimulaion.

Cranial-Electro Stimulation is a noninvasive brain stimulation that applies a small pulsed electric current across a person’s head. This current is applied laterally across the cranium which stimulates endorphins, serotonin and norepinephrine neurotransmitter production.

Most CES devices apply a low electric current indirectly to the cranium using a set of ear clips. However the Bumble Bee uses a different approach by direct application of micro-currents to specific areas of the cranium using various protocols at various brain wave frequencies, using a standard set of electrodes leads connected to small TENS pads.

The Frequencies the Bumble Bee produces are as follows:

1 to 4 Hz (Delta Waves): Delta waves are the slowest of brainwaves. These occur in deep sleep.

Delta brainwaves are slow, loud brainwaves (low frequency and deeply penetrating, like a drum beat). They are generated in deepest meditation and dreamless sleep. Delta waves suspend external awareness and are the source of empathy. Healing and regeneration are stimulated in this state, and that is why deep restorative sleep is so essential to the healing process.

Delta waves are the slowest recorded brain waves in human beings. They are found most often in infants and young children, and are associated with the deepest levels of relaxation and restorative, healing sleep.  If this wave is suppressed, it leads to an inability to rejuvenate the body and revitalize the brain, and poor sleep. Adequate production of delta waves helps us feel completely rejuvenated and promotes the immune system, natural healing, and restorative/deep sleep.

4Hz to 8 Hz (Theta Waves): Theta Waves are associated with REM and dreaming. Memory development is enhanced in this state (particularly long term memory), so to is sudden insight and creative thinking.

Theta brainwaves occur most often in sleep but are also dominant in deep meditation. Theta is our gateway to learning, memory, and intuition. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within. In theta we are in a dream; vivid imagery, intuition and information beyond our normal conscious awareness.

This particular frequency range is involved in daydreaming and sleep.  In an optimal state, theta helps in creativity, emotional connection, intuition, and relaxation. Theta waves have benefits of helping to improve our intuition and creativity, and making us feel more natural. Theta is also involved in restorative sleep.

8 Hz to 12 Hz  (Alpha Waves): Occur during intellectual relaxation, deep relaxation or meditation.  They improve academic performance, reduced anxiety and improve  immune system functions.

Alpha brainwaves are dominant during quietly flowing thoughts, and in some meditative states. Alpha is ‘the power of now’, being here, in the present. Alpha is the resting state for the brain. Alpha waves aid overall mental coordination, calmness, alertness, mind/body integration and learning.

Alpha waves have a frequency range between beta and theta. They help us calm down when necessary and promote feelings of deep relaxation. Alpha waves are found prominently in daydreaming, inability to focus, and being very relaxed. If they are suppressed it can cause anxiety, high stress, and insomnia. When they are optimal it leads to a relaxed state.

12 Hz to 39 Hz (Beta Waves): Beta brainwave patterns are generated naturally when in an awake, focused and alert state of consciousness.

Beta brainwaves dominate our normal waking state of consciousness when attention is directed towards cognitive tasks and the outside world. Beta is a ‘fast’ activity, present when we are alert, attentive, engaged in problem solving, judgment, decision making, or focused mental activity.

Beta waves are high-frequency, low-amplitude brain waves that are commonly observed in an awaken state. They are involved in conscious thought and logical thinking, and tend to have a stimulating effect. Having the right amount of beta waves allows us to focus. A lack of Beta can lead to ADHD, daydreaming, depression, and poor cognition.

40 Hz and 100 Hz (Gamma Waves): Information-rich task processing, high-level information processing. (Only available on the GAMMA PRO version).

Gamma brainwaves are the fastest of brain waves (high frequency), and relate to simultaneous processing of information from different brain areas. Gamma brainwaves pass information rapidly and quietly. The most subtle of the brainwave frequencies, the mind has to be quiet to access gamma.

Gamma are responsible for cognitive functioning, learning, memory, and information processing. In optimal conditions gamma waves help with attention, focus, binding of senses (smell, sight, and hearing), consciousness, mental processing, and perception.

WHO INVENTED IT?

The Bumble Bee device was invented by Taiwanese-Australian inventor Chen Ming-Yu and is only manufactured and distributed from Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
